Alicia + Shawn | Oahu Hawaii Destination Photographer

I can’t believe that I haven’t had the time to post these beautiful wedding images.  I shot them while second shooting for Kevin of Kevin Foley Photography.  I love second shooting for Kevin, he books the most adorable couples!

The first thing on my agenda while second shooting for Kevin is usually to follow the groomsmen while they are getting ready.  Little did I know, that I was about to meet the most entertaining group of groomsmen around.  Red Solo Cup…heck…who needs them when you have Green Party Cups:)

Before the First Look, we had a little bit of time back where the gals were getting ready and I was able to snap a few images of Alicia and her amazing gown.  Is she not the cutest bride eva?!

The light was amazing coming in this sliding door!

This next image was shot a few minutes after they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day.

When I say “Fun” wedding party…it means constant FUN!  There was never a dull moment.

Here were a few portraits I shot quickly as we were waiting for the limo to arrive and take us to the North Shore.

We then headed to the North Shore for a beautiful sunset ceremony with just close family members.

Alicia and Shawn, I hope you have had many days of pure bliss since your wedding day and I wish you many years of happiness to come!

The contents of a photograph can only be brought to life by the person taking the photo. Well done Wendy, well done.

Wendy, you are the best. Here’s to hopefully working together again soon (hint, hint). Oh, and rest assured, they had green party cups AND red solo cups.

The “J” Family | Oahu Honolulu Hawaii Family Photography

I had the extreme pleasure of photographing this amazing family recently while they were visiting the island. Most of you will notice a familiar face  in the images. Yes, that is the fabulous newborn photographer, Brenda Van.  Aren’t they all adorable!

I love getting older siblings together.  They can say some crazy stuff to each other while shooting!

Direct sun…friend or foe, it does produce amazing colors.  It is just beautiful at the Ko Olina lagoon beaches!

Thank you so much for choosing me to shoot your family images this year. I am completely honored!

I Love Close-Up Portraits! | Oahu Hawaii Children’s Photographer

If you were to ask me what I am drawn to when I look at images, it would hands-down be a great close-up portrait!  I am just that kind of shooter,  I like to shoot “tight”.  There is no doubt about that!  Here are some portraits I took of my adorable nephew when they visited the island in January!  They were shot on two different days, two different times of the day and two different locations, hence the difference in overall color/tone of the images.  These images are not at all about the background and all about the child at this stage in their life!  Don’t you just love to be able to count eyelashes?  I do.

Don’t be afraid to get in close when taking portraits of your kiddos.  I know you will love the results.

If you are interested in what I use to shoot these “tight” shots, tune back in later this week as I will tell you how I strive to get sharp, crisp images every time!
